Exhibition: Artist's Wall

Nicky Montagu is a printmaker living in North Devon whose art combines collagraph, dry point & etching. Her work is inspired by the memory of observations made while living on the tidal estuary. It’s pared down simplicity coming out of the solitude of viewing the landscape. She focusses on elements within the landscape and evokes a meditative sense within her work. This could be the changing tide, reflections in the water, the transient states of fading light or the patterns observed in stones or ripples in the water. Her current work reflects the widespread anxiety and concern for our future in a changing climate.
