Janet Sainsbury
Don’t Look Now
A new series of oil paintings examining the often complex relationship between the muse and artist. Anthropomorphic coastal rock formations provide a dramatic presence, influencing the dynamics and connections between the characters. Unstable, finely balanced rocks threaten to topple and erode the landscape and change the narrative.
On Saturday April 30 from 2 - 4pm Janet will be in the gallery and at 2.30 lead an informal discussion on the work in the exhibition. This event is FREE
Janet recently studied on the Turps Banana Correspondence course. She was selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2018.
Last year she showed work at Plymouth Contemporary 2021, Figurative Art Now, Correspondence 01 and had a solo show at 163 Gallery, London.
