The Main Gallery is officially open Tues - Sat 10am - 5pm. If you would like to visit outside those times please contact box office on 01805 624624 and they will let you know if it is possible. It is often open in the evenings and Sunday/Monday but sometimes there are events and meetings.

Radical Landscapes is a day-long creative workshop designed to explore language at its limits in relation to the landscape of Torrington common. The work will mostly take place outdoors so please come prepared for all weather. Bring a notebook, something to write with and/or a favourite sketchbook, everything else will be provided. All participants are warmly invited to stay on for the chance to perform their own work in the gallery as part of An Evening of Radical Landscape Poetry 5-7pm, (£5) where Camilla Nelson will launch her new book A Yarn Er Narrative (Contraband) - live radical landscape performances from exhibiting language artists including Rhys Trimble (rhystrimble.com) and Iris Columb (iriscolomb.com)
Words & Wildflowers Workshop; An Edible Odyssey with Adam Reeve

Join local wild food gatherer Adam Reeve on a journey through Torrington Commons and along the banks of the River Torridge in search of wild edibles and toxins to avoid; the walk will also feature a poem linked to each plant giving insight into humankind's relationship with wild flora over the ages. The walk will begin at 1pm from the Plough and will last between 2 - 3 hours, ending at the South Street Car Park. Sturdy boots, clothes suitable for the local forecast and reasonable fitness are recommended.
